Jose Dalisay Jr., a Filipino writer and National Book Award winner, recently stayed at Happy Island Inn in Virac, Catanduanes. Dalisay and his wife, Beng, were looking for a quiet and relaxing place to spend a few days, and they were impressed with Happy Island Inn’s location, amenities, and staff.
The inn is located right along the seawall in Virac, and it offers stunning views of the ocean. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and the inn has a restaurant, a bar. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make Dalisay and Beng feel welcome.
During their stay, Dalisay and Beng explored the town of Virac and visited some of the local attractions : Mary’s Woods Vista Point, Maribina Falls, Bato Church & Twin Rock Beach Resort. They also enjoyed the food at Happy Island Inn’s nearby restaurant X-Zack Lee Coffee, which serves Bulalo and other local dishes.
Dalisay said that he and Beng had a wonderful stay at Happy Island Inn, and they would definitely recommend it to others. He said that the inn is a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Catanduanes.
